I am Dr. Asher Beckwitt, a qualitative research consultant, applied social scientist, and founder of Qualitative AI.

For more than two decades, I have designed and conducted qualitative research across healthcare, public health, social impact, education, nonprofit, and applied research settings. My work includes in-depth interviews, focus groups, thematic analysis, evaluation studies, journey mapping, literature reviews, and research synthesis.

I created Qualitative AI to help researchers and organizations integrate AI into qualitative workflows in ways that are rigorous, ethical, and methodologically sound.

AI can support qualitative research by accelerating transcript review, memoing, codebook development, matrix building, thematic synthesis, and report drafting. However, AI cannot replace the interpretive skill, contextual understanding, ethical judgment, or methodological discipline of an experienced qualitative researcher.

My approach is practical, human-centered, and grounded in qualitative methods. I work with researchers, evaluators, consultants, healthcare teams, nonprofits, academic groups, and social impact organizations to identify where AI can responsibly support their work — and where expert human judgment must remain central.

Through Qualitative AI, I offer strategy sessions, workflow audits, project-based consulting, workshops, and team trainings.

My goal is to help research teams work more efficiently and confidently while preserving what makes qualitative research valuable: participant voice, context, nuance, ethics, and human insight.
